November Thankfulness

It’s November again and the Thanksgiving countdown has begun.

New traditions facilitated by constant communication with our online communities are weaving themselves into the fabric of the holiday experience. Not the least of which is the November “thankfulness” list. Each day, participants take to their facebook status’ to explain in varying levels of detail, something they are thankful for in life. They mention a family member, or a fulfilling job, a situation or event, but always something with great meaning and significance.

I discovered my personal experience with the concept of “thankfulness” as I understand it, is represented by the simple things, that, when examined, happen to be the overarching, central, meaning-of-life things. The things we, or at least I, take for granted most days. My thankfulness list is vertical; lacking in detail but not sincerity. A nightmare of a status update, but perfectly befitting a blog post stacked alongside a beautiful image or four.

So in honor of today’s date of 11/11, Thankfulness, November, Thanksgiving and the spirit of oneness, I present to you, all that which reminds me that life is beautiful:
